Packaging customization options
In a previous email, we had mentioned that we manufacture over 37,000 combinations of paper tubes. Besides the piece-parts that make up the paper tube structure, the end product is ultimately the whole of your vision and reflection of your product brand through customizations. Customizations can be made to both the inside and the outside of the tube to achieve your desired look and functionality requirements.
Inside modifications can include the addition of a food grade liner or moisture barrier, such as silver foil or grease proof. This allows some food and cosmetic products to be packaged directly into the tube, without the need for a poly bag or additional packaging. Another customization is the application of any one of our stock color outer wraps inside for a surprise pop of color.
The outside of our tubes can be customized with labeling or direct printing options using 4 color process offset or flexo printing. The most desired retail look is achieved with convolute labeling. A convolute label is a printed paper label that is applied around the entire tube and adhered with our food grade adhesives. This type of label is essentially made with the tube and has a straight seam on one side. Another label option for customization is application of self-adhesive labels, applied during final assembly. Many small businesses take advantage of this option to tackle inventory issues when their product lines have multiple flavors. Both convolute and self-adhesive labels can be made of almost any paper finish or texture, and can have special printing process applied, such as UV spot, metallic inks, debossing/embossing and foil stamping.
One-color random repeat logo inline printing is another customization option. This is applied at the winder, as the outer wrap passes through a drum printer with a litho plate of the artwork while the tubes are being wound.
Finally, up to 6 color random repeat flexo printing is available for those clients who want an economical option for their complex art.
