September 2018 Coffee Talk
Join us on September 12, 2018 at 10 am (EST) for the next installment of Coffee Talk with Jodi. During this edition, we will demonstrate the process for transforming paper into a tube! We will be showing viewers how this done on one of our winder machines. Viewers will also be shown how we can make tubes of various widths with our wide variety of available mandrel sizes. (A mandrel is a cylindrical rod around which metal or other material is forged or shaped.) In our case, we wrap paper around mandrels of various sizes to create custom packaging. This packaging can be as wide as 5″ and as long as 320″! Our team has created tubes of all sizes! From small tubes used as fit collars for construction to extremely long tubes used to protect important parts during transportation.
Finally, we will show the various stock outerwraps that we have available. The outerwrap is the paper that is applied on the outermost portion, or the most seen part of the tube. This can be anything from our standard kraft paper (light brown) to white, red or purple. We even have select holiday outerwraps to make your packaging more festive.
